Met up with Mairead from the hostel today. We walked around the harbor and up though the posh homes looking over Wellington. Back in town we heard a guy doing "Every Breath you Take" off in the distance. We got closer and it was this busker belting the song out with a guitar and drum machine. Once we were close enough though, the song ended and he busted into "Tears in Heaven". Mairead got a nice video of me lip synching to the song. Mairead went home for dinner and I went to the store. What a mistake. Sunday afternoon anyplace in the world is the wrong time to be at the grocery store, people everywhere. I bought a few things and left.
Mairead came over and we watched part of Charlie's Angels for awhile then went and dad a beer. Talked Australia. The more I talk about it the more I miss it.
hmm, maybe tomorrow I'll go in search of the reissue of Uncle Tupelo's "Still Feel Gone" album, just to read the liner notes. The record stores here have their cd cases all open (with the CD's removed) so you can read all the liner notes. The ones for the UT reissues have been an interesting read.
I got an email from Steve in Melbourne, he and Katrina had their baby! A girl born on 4th July. YAYYYYYY! I'm happy for them.
